Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering is a rewarding experience offering opportunities for personal growth and friendship. Giving our time-one of our most valuable resources-has great potential to help others when channeled in the right volunteer direction.
Our volunteers carry on a rich tradition of community service and are an important extension of the St. Joseph's/Candler healthcare team. We have opportunities available at both St. Joseph's Hospital and Candler Hospital.
Our volunteers give a minimum of four hours each week and regular attendance is requested to help maintain an effective volunteer program. Volunteers wear a name badge and uniform that helps identify them to the patients, staff and public.
A youth volunteer program is offered each summer for young people ages 14 years and older.
